Our organisation

The Federation is headed by a President, assisted by a Vice President. At FESE's General Assembly in Brussels on 23rd June 2010, Spyros Capralos, Chairman (Executive) of Athens Exchange was re-elected to be the FESE President for the statutory term of one year and Michael Buhl, CEO of the CEE Stock Exchange Group was elected as Vice President. The Federation's members meet once or twice each year in the General Assembly where the main strategic issues are debated and decisions made. Each full member has voting rights. Associate members can participate in the discussions. The Federation also has a Board composed of maximum 10 members which meets regularly.

The Federation's central co-ordinating body is the Management Committee, which meets three or four times a year. Every member exchange is represented on this Committee, which is chaired by Ludovic Aigrot, Head of EU Affairs, NASDAQ OMX, the Vice Chair is Christian Descoups, Luxembourg Stock Exchange. Reporting to the Management Committee are the Equity Committee which covers all regulatory initiatives that might affect cash equity markets (including primary and secondary markets as well as clearing and settlement), the Derivatives Committee which covers all regulatory initiatives that might affect derivative markets w(including primary and secondary markets as well as clearing and settlement) and the Fixed Income Committee which covers all regulatory initiatives that might affect fixed income markets. In addition, the Economics and Statistics Committee will continue to report to the Managment Committee.
